Given The Grenchus Foundation’s Love for the Arts and for Music - We want to be a resource to help you connect more deeply with what you are passionate about. Although, in the future this page will be geared towards sharing resources to use in your everyday life and context, as well as about new artists we learn of, and hope to support - at this time - given all the shutdowns and the recent events of people having to stay at home, we are sharing this list of :

Online Music Resources

For Teachers:

  1. We recommend you continue to connect with your classes in relation to band, orchestra, and choir - have them create music through Zoom or through some other platform. Please see these two links for more information and ideas:

Berklee School of Music: What the World Needs Now - Is Love Sweet Love: https://youtu.be/QagzdvzzHBQ

Chino Valley High School Choir - Remote: Somewhere Over the Rainbow: https://youtu.be/k3_crTZ0NHg

2. Have the youth write their own songs, and lyrics… and then have them sing it to a tune that they love, or create their own tune to go with it…

3. Whatever you do and other creative ideas you have, ultimately you want to make sure the children/youth/etc. are practicing their instruments and continuing to use their voices for song throughout this time. If you have them video record themselves singing or playing and sharing it with the class - but also you want them to be connecting in their large group structure as well as an orchestra/choir etc….
