2022 SUMMER Youth Music Education Program NJ~ Half Day Program

Chamuyo Music Theory Education

This is a music education program focused on learning the basics of music theory. Live experience of playing music. 

Collective classes and musical ensembles. 

Basic Music concepts such as rhythms, pitch and sight reading are going to be approached from the angle of playing music in real tempo with participatory exercises designed to physically perceive the phenomenon of music through singing, tapping, clapping, dancing and playing musical instruments. 

(Guitar, piano, violin, Flute, Sing, Percussion etc) 

Participants are encouraged to bring their instruments but it is not mandatory). 

Students will be exposed to a wide range of world and classical music repertoire adapted to each level. 

At the end of each day the camp finishes with a collective music ensemble with the contents learned during classes. 

The staff of music educators includes performers in several music genres.

DATES: July 4th - July 8th

TIME: 10am - 1pm

Adults and caregivers are welcome to stay but it is not mandatory. 

2 groups : Ages 3 to 5  and Ages 5 to 10
