Summer “Arts in the Park” Program

Our Summer “Arts in the Park” program is a free program in Central park where we empower others to create visual arts, as well as engage the community et al. in pop-up performances in: music, dance, song, and theater. We are in Central Park from 9-3 during the summer to offer free art creation ~ with crayons, colored pencils, watercolor, pastels, and acrylic. This program also includes an in person and/or online art gallery exhibit of created artwork by the community/tourists paired with an artists array of artwork.

Our “Arts in the Park” will offer free pop-up performances in music, dance, song, and theatre as well as free creation of visual arts in Central Park to both youth and adults. “Arts in the Park” is shared digitally with virtual performances, lessons, as well as virtual art gallery exhibits. In totality our summer programming – including “Arts in the Park” creates a deeper love and support for the arts, increases self-expression through the arts, while also providing a space and way for artists to share their gifts and talents with others. Creating a love and passion for the arts in others as well as providing a network or way for artists to engage more deeply with others in the arts, this is the perfect program for everyone to enjoy and participate in during the summer…. Our “Arts in the Park” runs from June through August.

All sessions focus on the arts as well as the arts in relation to nature, including but not limited to the art we see in nature, to the way we depict it and interpret it in the arts. Youth will also be exposed to different pieces of art in each area and create art in each area, that reflects the beauty of nature, and what is on their heart and in their mind at that time - through the Arts, as well as the Arts presence in nature. This program is open to all age groups, all people, in the NYC community and tourists.  This summer program is scheduled to be run in Central Park and will be observing COVID guidelines in relation to adults and youth. We also offered an online version of this arts program through our Arts Education/Arts Summer Camp Program.

Funding will go directly to support the Grenchus Foundation, and artists…
