ITALY ON MADISON: Ippolita and the Marriage Ring

Italy on Madison also featured Jewelers …

although we did not have time to go to all the different jewelers, we did make it to Ippolita!

It was amazing to see what they were creating and to hear about their creation of the “Marriage Ring.”

The Marriage Ring was created by Rachel Feinstein and Ippolita. It was commissioned by the Jewish Museum, stands a foot tall, in the shape of a castle, symbolizing medieval style architectural Jewish Marriage Rings. The museum commissioned the piece through the Judaica commission program. The ring has been featured in Architectural Digest. It is created out of 18k gold plated sterling silver and weighs a pound. The architectural structure sits upon a knuckle duster. Amazing to see, as well as the other Marriage rings she created with Ippolita .. some of which you will see in the photography below.
